Happy July!
But I will never forget what happened this morning an either will the children involved.
Lex invited several of his friends to play.
In the house.
In my room.
Normally I wouldn't care but this morning I happen to be in the shower and had no idea that there was anybody in the house. So I get out and the only towel I could find is a hooded towel that happens to be a ghost. Oh and did i mention it fits around a 5 year old not so much around an overweight adult. I'm so organized and on top of household chores I don't keep any clean laundry in the closets. They are all kept in the laundry room where they are nice and safe from getting used.
So me having no clue there is innocent eyes in my house, walk out into my room. Luckily the towel was covering my front half leaving my back side open to the world. Luckily there was nobody to see that!
The children didn't see much but I'm sure they saw enough.
On to happier thoughts!
Carl's grandma is here from California for a few weeks. Yesterday she taught us how to make peanut brittle. It was so good. I'm sure i could have eaten the entire pan. It's also a lot of work. Luckily my sister in law Christi did most of it. All I had to do was butter the pan and watch the fun cooking lesson and crack a few dirty jokes with Paul.
Last night I made a quick trip to Rigby town to give Jamie her books back. I've done a lot of reading lately. More on that later. I surprised her at her bus stop when she got off work. Then we decided to run to Rexburg and dine on at our fave mexicano restaurant Gringo's. It was so delish we almost licked our plates clean. It was great to have so quality time with my buddy. We haven't don't that in a long time. On the way home from Rexburg we were going 70 down the highway laughing so hard we couldn't breath or see. Still not sure who was driving at that point but it was a fun time!
Carl just started mowing our lawn. Its the first mow! Gotta go take some pictures...........

Super Cool
So anyway since my morning started so early and great, I need happy things. So here is what makes me happy.
This super cool girl
is giving away this super cool stuff,
in this super cool bag!
(I totally stole your pictures Amanda. Hope its ok!)
CLICK HERE TO LEARN HOW YOU COULD GO ALL THE WAY!!
You should also check out her playlist. She has tons of cool songs! There is "make you feel my love" from Adele on there. Mr. Garth Brooks himself sang this at our wedding. Right out of the CD player. You seen one of my good friends was suppose to sing it in real life but he had to work and didn't bother to call and let anyone know that. So we used a CD player. Anyway the next time we get married I think Adele will sing it cause i like hers better. But see without Amanda's playlist I wouldn't even know that song existed.
More stuff that makes me happy - funny video's. I could waste hours on youtube.
You have probably seen this a million times but it is so funny!
This was also funny! Crappy video sorry!
One more funny video!
Happy Thursday!

Blog? What blog? Oh yeah............
We raked rocks
Lex got new bedding! Super cute from Wal Mart clearance. Wahoo!
Did I mention we raked rocks? Well we did, a CRAP LOAD of them. But now they are all raked up and we planted grass last Monday! Hopefully we wont have dirt all summer. We are crossing our fingers. We will also be watching the dirt for 7-14 days hoping it turns green. :) If it doesn't I am going to spray paint it. I hear that the new thing.
HAPPY SUMMER!

Dont take your kids to McDonalds
After a while she saw a kid hit her boy and so her boy hit him back. She goes into the play thing to get her son. Then all hell broke loose. A screaming match began between the two kids' moms! Then one of the other moms friends pushes the mom of the cute boy. Holy crap people! Then the cops were called. That's about the time we left.
I don't know exactly what happened I didn't seen the entire scene. But way to go on being awesome examples to your kids ladies. Really mom of the year awards should be coming to you any day. Seriously starting a fight in a room full of kids because your 4 year olds are fighting! Awesome! I really wonder where they get their manners from?
So anyway we get in the car and Lex says "We gotta get outta here before the cops come. Those mommies were naughty."
I love that kid. He says the funniest stuff. For example the other day the city of Ammon dropped us off a new garbage can. Lex says "we should get their phone number. I think if we call them they can bring us some grass too." Oh how I wish that was all it took. I gave him daddys number instead.
This girl left a comment on my blog the other day! How cool is that. She is like the queen of craft and has awesome music on her blog. Check out this post. makes me wish I hadnt sold my cricut. She also has yummy recipes for freezer meals on this site.
Sorry I don't have pics of anything. I hear its a sin to do a post with no pictures.
**Oh and I totally forgot the real reason you shouldn't take your kids to McD's. They get a crappppppyyyyy CD! Which your kids will love and you will want to shoot yourself in the face. Don't be fooled it looks like it might be ok.
ITS NOT!!!!
Don't say I didn't warn ya.

Things I loved from Easter

It's already been a year?
This was our first apartment we moved in the fall of 1999. We lived on the right side for six weeks. I loved it, it was right across from the temple. It was sooo cute and cozy. One day I was taken away by an ambulance and never returned. I tried to die from an asthma attack. The EMT's cut my shirt off and I wasn't wearing any pants. Awesome! Luckily my memory went from "I cant breath I should sit on this chair" to "why am I in the hospital and why do I have a tube down my throat?" But I did miss that shirt - it was one of my favorites.
We lived with Carl's parents for about a month until our other apartment was ready. We lived on the upper level here for about 3 years. We had the nicest old neighbor downstairs. His name was Bob and he would run his garbage disposal for hours. He died shortly after we moved out and sometimes we visit his grave. (ok ok so we have only been there once)
Then we moved into our first house! This is the only place we have ever had a yard with trees and flowers. This is the house where Carl brought me home 2 adorable puppies. This is where I would come home to after a hard day working at the make up counter. (don't laugh it was tough - those rich bitches were well..... bitches.) This is where we brought Lex home to from the hospital. This is where Carl and I grew up and became somewhat adults. The worst part is our good friends built a house just a few blocks down the road. Jessica and I didn't really know each other then. Too bad we could have walked to each others house and been crafty together everyday. I really miss this house and the simple lives we had there.
Then we moved in with our parents for a couple of month until Carl finished this house! We would spend the first part of the week at his parents and then pack up our stuff and stay with my parents for several days. Fun times! This was our first and only house he built for us. I loved this house because I got to pick most of the stuff out. My dad did the brick on it and it was a pain in the ass but he did it because that's what I wanted. Lex had just turned a year old when we moved in.
This is where we live now. Carl built it as a spec and well we all know that went down the drain. When he bought the lot I said I will never live in that neighborhood. Famous last words. We have lived here 1 year now. Until last weekend I had not put up 1 decoration (except for the holiday stuff in the entry). I have very mixed feeling about this house. I love it, I love the neighbors and the ward. It is honestly the nicest ward we have ever lived in. I love the big closets and the flat driveway. I love the little canal in the back yard. But we just don't really fit in. I still feel like we just don't belong here. We just don't deserve to live here.
Last weekend while Carl went to the priesthood session I decided that I needed to make it our home. Even if we don't stay here for long. So I dusted off a few of our decorations that had been boxed up. Then on Sunday there was a wonderful conference talk about making your house like a temple. So its warm and comforting. It's amazing what a few decorations do.
And finally this is where we will probably be living soon.........
Come visit me on the 4th of July!

some randomness
Rambling #1
So a little more info for walk in weight loss (which is a stupid name since you have to make an appointment)
If you have insurance you just have to pay your co-pay. Totally worth it.
If you don't have insurance its like $120 buck every time you go in. Totally NOT worth it.
You only go in like once a month and they measure your fat (my favorite part) and give you new menu's (really my fave part). You only get menus for 3 days at a time. The point of it is so you learn to swap out stuff.
I have only been doing it for 2 weeks now and I feel so much better. I sleep better. The best part is for dinner. You basically have a pile of veggies and some meat. That's not the best part the really best part is Carl and Lex love dinner. Lex has always been such a picky eater and the kid now cleans his plate. Crazy! Well not really they just didn't like the casseroles and stuff I made. Which is fine because cooking a piece of meat and putting broccoli in the microwave is soooo much faster.
Rambling #2
Lex has learned how to snap his fingers. Doesn't it make you wonder why you teach your kids stuff. He snaps all the TIME! At first it was cute and now it is just annoying. You teach them how to talk and then all you want to do is make them be quite. You teach them to walk then you cant find them! You teach them how to snap and now all I wanna do is tape is fingers together so he cant.
Rambling #3
I did some scrapbooking yesterday. It's fun. I like it. I should do it more.
I went to Roberts and they had the Penny Lane stuff on sale. Oh my I am in love! So I contained myself and only bought a few sheets. I really wanted to use it but I need to print the pictures I want it for. So I used some super cute stuff I got for Christmas from my buddy.
Rambling #4
Jamie and I are going to the museum tomorrow! I'm so excited everyone has been talking about how cool it is. Carl thinks I am going to see Leonardo. He is really the only reason I even knew about Titanic. I only saw the movie like 10 times at the theater and the drive in. The drive in was fun except I missed a lot of the movie.
Rambling #5
Boxing on the Wii fit makes my arms hurt. I'm such a wanny.
Rambling #6
Sugar-free Jello and I are really good friends.
Rambling #7
I am down to 1 diet dr pepper a day. Which I have been for awhile now. I just cant give it up. Oh how I love its sweet sweet goodness.
Rambling #8
I have sucked at 365 for the last oh i don't know 3 weeks! I'm not quitting!!! I will catch up.
Rambling #9
All protein bars taste the same. If they show an entire minny marshmallow on the package I think there should be at least 1 minny marshmallow inside not just a spec from one.
Rambling #10
Lex saved and saved his allowance for weeks so he could buy a sponge bob garbage can. He is so funny! He could have bought a cool toy like a slime blaster. I am so glad the garbage can won. I guess its like a toy - I have no idea why its in the living room for this picture.
Rambling #11
This little girl is adorable and I don't get to see her enough!
Rambling #12
I think a pineapple sitting on my counter is cute. Makes me not want to eat it, but then I do eat it. Then I have to buy another pineapple to sit on the counter and then I eat it. Its a viscous cycle. And I am lame.
Happy Thursday!
