Thanksgiving review

Finally our Thanksgiving pictures. I'm sure you don't care by now but its better late than never.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Carl wanted to cook so we had fourteen people at our house. Carl cooked a yummy turkey. Lex wouldn't eat it because he says you are only suppose to eat chicken not turkey. Apparently all food is made from chicken. Funny boy. Anyway we had A TON of food!

Ya gotta start the day by reading the ad's. Lex would like one of everything - except for the pages with girl stuff. Nobody wants that stuff.
Tons and tons of yummy food

Notice Carl's shirt. It was made just for him by Old Navy. See it has a Tiger on it and he is a Tyger and it has 79 on it. The year he was made. Cool huh!
We wrote what we were thankful for on pieces of paper and tied them to balloons and let them go outside. (Note for next year: get high float in balloons and don't use cardstock for the super cute tags.)

I'm pretty sure he's the only one who ate the cranberry sauce. In fact he was going at it face first but by the time I got my camera he found a fork. Do people really eat this stuff? I do but I think after dinner we had twice as much as we had set out.

In other news my son is a genius. He wrote this all by himself! How cool is that? I didn't even know he could spell without someone telling him every letter. He even knew what he spelled. I think its the cutest Ice man ever. I am his mother I can think that.
He also draws pretty cute dogs. It was Lex's birthday on Saturday and out of all the toys he got this white board his is favorite. He loves to draw and his Aunt Christi and Uncle Paul picked a winner with this idea. He also hasn't taken off the spiderman hoodie he got. Birthday pictures coming soon....
We also got new phones. I picked the same one as Carl so I wouldn't have to waste time reading the manual. He's into that type of thing. (weirdo) He thought it would be sooo funny to put a background on for me. He is so sweet....
Yes that is a dogs butt with sunglasses on it. Cute. Since the only thing I know how to do on this stinkin' phone besides dial, it may be on there for awhile. Carl you are a jerk!
A funny jerk.

Some random info & a late Thanksgiving review

Lex went to see Santa on Saturday. Last year he was so nervous about a man coming into our house in the night. This year he is all about the man bringing toys!

This girl had a birthday last week. We celebrated by having Garcia's for lunch and a couple hours later we had Sub Zero ice cream for dessert. YUM!

This girl has a blog again! I'm so excited she has the funniest stories and a great play list.

My cell phone just died mid call, a few days ago. Fine time to be buying a new cell phone. So if you have tried to call me I'm not ignoring you my phone just doesn't work and well we don't answer our home phone. So best bet is email until i find time to take a break from vinyl and go get a new one.

Speaking of vinyl I just want to let everyone know I will stop taking orders on December 15th (I need a week to get caught up before Christmas. Hopefully I will get them all done) and will resume January 5th.
The cold medicine and I are really really tight right now. In fact we are inseparable. I am so sick of being sick! This is the 3rd sore throat I have had this year. What the hell - I'm done with it already. Luckily Lex has only had 1 ear infection so far. I am knocking on wood. Oh how I am knocking hard.

So now I've done a whole lot of typing and I'm out of time. Thanksgiving pictures coming soon.......

Picture overload!

A couple of weekends ago my good friend noticed that Target had Gingerbread Houses on sale. So we quickly bought some. We were going to do them a little closer to Christmas but Lex just couldn't wait. They were super fun and I recommend it to anyone.

First you need some very large soda's from your favorite gas station so they can be in every picture you take.

Then you need to read the instructions very carefully.

Then you need husbands who claim they don't really want to participate. (then they just kinda take over)

Lex even put a candy cane heart on the back of his! I cant wait until next year when we do it again.
*It's obvious blogger and I are not agreeing on where the pictures should be placed, so this post looks fantastic. I'm sick of trying to fix it.

Merry Christmas!

What it's not Christmas yet? Then why do my neighbors have there freaking Christmas lights ON? I am sorry but I think there should be a law - No Christmas lights on until the day after Thanksgiving. You can have them on your house but not turned ON. That is going to be my first law in my kingdom. I am all about the Christmas festivities but lets take a minute and enjoy Thanksgiving.

OK I'm done now.

So the winners from the last post Bonnie, LeAnne, & Kim! Bonnie I owe ya - let me know what ones are your favorite.
Happy Friday!

My Kenny/Donny Moment!

Growing up I heard my moms story about how Kenny Rogers pointed and winked at her during a concert sum 30 years ago. She melted and I didn't get it.

Then a few years back I went to a Donny Osmond concert with my mom and her friend Patricia. Patricia is somewhat of a fan - she was in tears when he came out on stage and screamed like a teenage girl with each new song he sang. I didn't get it.

I didn't get it until Saturday November 8th 2008....

I'm starting from the beginning. On Saturday we decided to go on a quick road trip to Logan. Carl really wanted to ride his motor bike with Taylor - who just got a new bike last weekend. So we decided to take a day trip. Tomm & Jessica came with us and we left Lex with my parents.

The boys of course had their plan of action and spent the day before packing and getting ready. Jessica & I also had our plan. A shopping plan.

*Hobby Lobby
*Sei
*some scrapbooking store about a carousel
*Chocolate covered Cinnamon bears in bulk @ Macy's
*Pier 49 Pizza

I have always loved cosmo. If you remember I proclaimed my love to them on THIS post. How could you not they have the best stuff. Jessica, Eva, Olivia, and I found the address and what appeared to be their warehouse . Not thinking we could shop we decided we would just get out and take pictures.

Then we saw someone inside.

We checked the door.

Open.

Hearts soaring,

Jessica and I were as nervous as a 12 year old boy at a school dance - Eva walked right in! She said she would go ask if they had somewhere to shop.

We were going to take a picture of us by the door that says cosmo cricket
but in all the excitement we ended up with this one - just as good.

We wait...

then Eva comes walking around the corner with Mr. Lindsay as he is explaining to her we can shop out of the warehouse across the parking lot. He just happened to be there checking on stuff. Normally on Saturdays no one would be there. We are lucky girls!

He's the one in this post - funny stuff!

So he takes us over to the other warehouse and lets us shop for awhile. We were so overwhelmed we didn't get many pictures. It was wonderful being around pallets and boxes full of awesome stuff.

Jessica and I with the Cosmo Logo

Jessica with a fabulous find!

Eva, Olivia, and I shopping in the best store ever!

So we have PILES of fabulous supplies and Lindsay takes us to the font to settle up. On the way shows us shelves of super cute displays and their fun project room.

He told us a little about how Cosmo got started and such then we come around the corner and on one of the desks there are 4 piles of more fabulous supplies. One for each of US! Lindsay had gathered up some fun prizes for us - just for coming! It was really our pleasure.

That's right he gave each one of us this entire pile of goods! If you will notice in the very back of the pile is the Chemistry Crafting Kit. That's right the latest from the greatest! We also received a Mr. Campy crafting kit, blackboard, rub-ons, a blackboard mini album, a blackboard memory box, and some Jacks world stamps! All I can say is we were in scrapbooking HEAVEN.

If that weren't enough to make us jump up and down like a fat girl on the price is right when it was time to settle up on our piles of goods - Lindsay made us a screaming deal - and I mean screaming!!!!

He also let us get our picture taken with him. He made our day! He was soooo nice and so excited about the company. He totally could have sent us on our way but instead he made our day, month and year! Thanks Lindsay! It was an awesome adventure. I am convinced Comso Cricket is the funnest company ever.

The rest of the day was great too. We bought our Chocolate covered cinnamon bears and also bought about 3 pounds of some yummy fudge at Cox's honey. (Yes there is one in Logan too.)

The only things that I'm having a hard time with is the fact that I have waaay to much work to do this week to play with any of it. Good thing the ETM crop is on Saturday!

OK in the spirit of pay it forward I'm going to give out some of these cute magnets (sorry I am greedy and wont be giving away any of the fabulous stuff I received this weekend.) Post your Kenny/Donny moment and I will pick a winner winner on Friday.

*Most of the photo's are courtesy of Jessica. I forgot my camera.

Happy Friday!

So I finally put pictures in my banner. Lex looks like a chunky boy. He's really not but I thought that was a cute picture.

Last weekend we went to Logan to see our niece Olivia get baptized. It was a very fun to spend Halloween with them. It went by Super Fast.

This picture is of Lex the night before Halloween trick or treating at my parents house.

This is Lex at his preschool Halloween party. There were only like 5 other spidey's.

This cute guy was the cutest incredible frog ever! He's just lookin' for his candy.

The "diva's" - Rosie and Eva!

Taylor dress up as a pumpkin head. He was getting rolls of toilet paper - we all though he was going to cause some mayhem, but he was just using them to hold up his head.

This is Miss Olivia - just waiting for some trick or treaters.

On Saturday we raced home from Logan so we could go to this adorable girls 1st Birthday party. Kanani is my cousins daughter. She had a cupcake birthday complete with a cupcake cake. They had decorations and frosting for all the kids to decorate their own cupcakes. It was so fun!

Life is crazy busy...

How is yours?

I made this super easy board to hold all of Lex's artwork. The kid comes home with like 3 pages from preschool. We will have to change the board weekly. Instructions are HERE. She has some really fun ideas. I did add the yoyo's at each end to cover up where we screwed it into the wall.

Vinyl has been crazy! Its been fun though - I'm doing like 3 Super Saturday's. It is so fun to see all the different projects. I have so many ideas for Christmas now I don't even know where to start. In between all the vinyl craziness I went a little crazy decorating our entry way.

Lex went a little crazy while I was taking pictures of it....

Speaking of Mr. Lex W, he went on his first field trip for preschool. They got to go to the pumpkin patch. He rode a bus and everything! They even got to pick out pumpkins to take home. His was awesome and he was proud! He's also hiding a candy bar behind his back in this picture. Silly boy!

We have not been playing enough of this lately!

Rockband is awesome and you should play it!

It's been awhile...

How do people blog everyday? I will never know - I always want to be better and I just never can do it. Here is my view outside the office window right now...

Today has been great! Nice and relaxing. We ran some errands this morning went to lunch at MCD's - we even got to go in - Lex was happy about that one. Then we came home - Carl worked on his RC Car, Lex ran around & I cleaned out my car. Now Lex and Carl are outside with the rest of the neighborhood children. They all seem to swarm when the RC Car is out and about. Then Lex pulls out the Popsicles and they stay awhile. It's great, both my boys love it. I do to since I am inside with myself listening to Bishop Allen catching up on my blog. I found the Bishop Allen cd while cleaning out my car. I forgot how much I love them. They make me happy.

Now down to business....

Turns out we didn't freeze like I thought we would in Redfish. Nor did we get eaten by the big red fish (haha Bonnie!). But we did get to see them jump up the dam. It was sooo cool. We went to the fish hatchery and they were going crazy! Jumping and flopping all about. Not a good picture but you get the idea.

The hungry boys just came in so I will have to finish the update later.

Were off...

leaving bright and early to freeze our butts off @ Red Fish. It's our first, and I'm sure last camping trip of the year. Hopefully I will take tons of pictures so I have a good excuse to buy this paper!

Have a GREAT labor day weekend! On Monday morning when you are sleeping in, all cozy and warm in your beds think of me sleeping in a tent on the nice hard ground probably freezing to death.

Weeks Review

So a lot has happened this week. Saddle up partner - It's going to be a long post.
Last Wednesday Carl and I celebrated 9 years of wedded bliss. Yes I said 9! I cant believe it either. It seems like yesterday.

Please note: It was a windy day and I am really not sure what is going on with my hair

Sometime over the weekend I made some really yummy cupcakes that I found on a blog. I cant remember who's it was but you use this recipe for the cupcakes (Its a strange site - the recipe is towards the bottom of the page.) and this recipe for the frosting. They were super tasty.

Anyway the reason I tell you all this - we renewed our wedding vows with one of the cupcakes. I had just got my self a Dt. Dr. P and a scrumptious cupcake when Carl walked up and acted like he was going to take a bite. Then he shoved it in my face. 2" of frosting went up my nose. I was pissed and tried to smash what was left in his face of course I miss and it lands on the ground so I get as much frosting in my hand and wipe it all over his face. It was funny afterward - so we decided since we didn't do the whole frosting thing all over the face at our wedding 9 years later was better late than never.

My scrap break is over and here is what I did for moments...

It was a great way to end my "break". I loved these papers - so fun!

On Monday this guy started Preschool. He is going to a preschool that is also a daycare. I think he will do much better there than in someones basement sitting in a chair for 2 hours. Last year did not go well and he only went until October. The one he is going to now is much more hands on learning and they have like 5 teachers. He even gets to take his own lunch. He loves his Spiderman bag from the target dollar bin. He begged to go yesterday. He was so funny he said all the teachers wanted me to come back today! We are hoping this year goes much better.
